Franklinton United Methodist Church
We praise the Lord. Our faith community worships every Sunday from 11:00 am. to noon m. in a spirit of fellowship and unity. Our liturgy follows the Lectionary and the Christian Calendar.
Although we consider our celebration “traditional worship,” the Holy Spirit leads our praise and prayers. It is God who takes the initiative for worship. God is with us during worship, and God sends us to the world to worship with our lives.
We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of each month. The table of the Lord in Franklinton United Methodist Church is open to all those who want to receive the mercy of God. We do not make distinctions between persons because all human beings have been created in the image of God.
Before worship, at 10:00 am. we have the session on Sunday School for adults. Also, we have a session of Bible Study every Monday, from 10:00 to 11:00 am. led by Rev. Johnny Llerena, who encourages the participation of everybody. In our study, we scrutinize the Bible using tools of exegesis but also permit the Bible to talk to us because we believe that the Bible contains the Word of God, namely, the message of Jesus, who is the Word of God.
